By collecting mini versions of the characters, called Nanos, the player can gain abilities that will help her in the final confrontation against Fuse. Once the player returns to the past, she discovers an expanded world with more characters and areas to explore. According to Dexter (now a teenager)the only way to stop the invasion and save the world is to fix the time machine and go back one year into the past and defeat Lord Fuse before Planet Fuse absorbs the world. While many Cartoon Network characters are around, many more have been killed or have gone missing since the invasion started.
